So its that time of decade again when we jere in Ireland get to pretend that we can change our country by putting different people in charge.
now 30 seconds of checking puts me in Dublin South Central.
The candidates i have to choose from are
- Sean Ardagh, FF
- Eric Byrne, Lab
- Tony Mcdermot, GN
- Andrew McGuiness, WP
- michael Mulcahy,FF
- Aengus o Snodaigh, SF
- Brenden Phelan, WP
- Mary Upton, Lab
- Catherine Byrne, FG
- Ann Marie Martin, FG
- Frank Mcnamara, PD
now to research these people to see who it is worth me wasting my vote on. However Mary Upton and Aengus O Snodaigh are pretty low down on my list of people getting my vote.
Also must find out my my polling station actually is, i have no idea were the school is.
ETA According to Wikipedia my vote here counts more than anywhere else because of the such low turnout. hmm. It seems to be a fice seater, and that list above cannot be complete, i know Gay Mitchell won't be standing as he went to europe, but no FG candidates?
ETA 2 A few more names
Frank McNamara is a drop in, from meath or somewhere like that. Used to be well known as he did the Music on the Late LAte and his wife was also well known before they got married. All that added to the fact he is a PD makes him my first definte No vote from myself. now to rid myself of some more.Current Music: CruxShadows - Winterborn (Subway to Sally Mix)

The PD's are doing a number of parachute candidates. A lot of them are "Well known".
I think he was also the guy with the sarcy comment about the eurovision.
Predictions are they will wiped off the Map. I hope so but i see MCDowell and Parlon holding.
Whats the school? I can probably give you directions.

No idea, hence needing to find out. i shall call someone in DCC tomorrow and ask them!
then i will ask where it is :)
So your in this area too, right, what are your thoughts on the candidates?
I tend to go for the invididual rather than the party (usually). Have always heard good things about Eric Bryne. The others I have heard little about.
